Disney’s new ultimate theme park pass lets you skip every ride queue… but you’ll have to start saving

DISNEY has introduced a new pass for fans who want to avoid ride queues.

Replacing Disney Genie+ are the new Lightening Lane passes which can be used at Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland Resort in California.

But their newest option is Lightning Lane Premier Pass, which was previously only an option for hotel guests.

Now available for all guests, it means you can use any of their Lightning Lanes (the faster queues) without having to reserve a spot.

It does come with a price – depending on the season, it could be up to $449 (£405) per park.

We’ve rounded up each of the Lightning pass options, ranging from the cheapest to the newest and most expensive.

Lightening Lane Single Pass

The Lightening Lane Single Pass can be used for one ride, as it implies.

The single pass allows guests to pay-per-ride to skip the line for a few in-demand rides like the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios and Avatar Flight of the Passage in Animal Kingdom.

With this pass, you have to select an available return time to go to the attraction and use it.

The catch is that you can only purchase up to two single passes per day, and they can’t be used on the same rides.

Prices for Lightning Lane Single Pass start at $10-25 (£8-£20) per person, depending upon the day and attraction.

Lightening Lane Multi Pass

The Lightening Lane Multi Pass includes one-time access to every multi pass ride in the park.

With this pass, you can book up to three Lightning Lane return times per day for each day of your visit.

It’s worth noting that certain rides, like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON Lightcycle/Run are not included in the multi pass.

If you want to skip to skip the standard queue on these then you’ll have to buy a separate single lane pass.

But you can use your Lightning Lane Multi Pass for lots of other attractions at Magic Kingdom Park including; Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan’s Flight, Space Mountain, and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

You can use a Lightning Lane Multi Pass to book each attraction once per day and make multiple reservations throughout, as long as there are available passes.

There are also other perks like unlimited downloads of photos from the Disney PhotoPass app.

Lightening Lane Premier Pass

For those who want the ultimate queue jumping experience, then it’s worth having a look at the new Lightening Lane Premier Pass.

With this, you can enter any of the parks’ Lightning Lanes whenever you want, the big difference being there’s no return time reservation.

With the premier option, you don’t have to choose arrival windows for attractions and experiences, unlike the multi and single pass.

The only limit is that you still can enter each individual Lightning Lane once per day.

The other draw back for some is the price tag.

At Disneyland, Lightning Lane Premier Pass will debut at $400 (£325) per person per day for access to all Lightning Lane attractions at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

At Walt Disney World, Lightning Lane Premier Pass is sold separately by each park, with prices ranging from $149 (£121) to $449 (£365) per person per day, depending upon the day.
