'Fast-casual' Japanese restaurant chain coming to Portland
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The “fast-casual” Japanese chain restaurant Pepper Lunch, which prides itself on feeding customers “in 20 minutes for under $20,” is opening two new locations in the Portland area.
The business plans to open one restaurant in Portland and one in Oregon City, a spokesperson for Pepper Lunch told KOIN 6. The company currently operates more than 500 locations across 17 countries.
“Known for its vibrant communities and expanding culinary scene, Oregon is the perfect place to bring Pepper Lunch’s interactive, sizzling dining experience to new audiences,” the company said.
The company also plans to open three additional Pepper Box locations across the state. The new locations are part of the company's deal with local developer Peter T. Ng of Seventh and Monroe LLC.
“This expansion into Oregon is a testament to the power of our concept and the incredible potential of our partners,” Pepper Lunch CEO Troy Hooper said. “Peter’s vision and commitment align seamlessly with our mission to bring joy and connection through our sizzling dining experience.”
