Mark Mitchell Update
Mitchell and Missouri are thriving and he’s got a fun new NIL deal too.
When Mark Mitchell decided to leave Duke after last season, he settled on Missouri, and like Jeremy Roach and Jaylen Blakes, he’s thriving at his new school. He’s averaging 13.8 ppg, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 turnovers. He’s also shooting 50 percent overall and 25.8 percent from behind the line (his three point shooting has declined every season).
Mizzou is 15-3 and on Saturday, they added to John Calipari’s misery at Arkansas, beating the Hogs 85-63 and dropping Arkansas to 11-7 overall and 0-5 in the SEC. (As we noted the other day, pressure is building on Calipari).
Anyway, things seem to be going well for Mitchell with Mizzou and he’s getting some NIL income too.
Mitchell is partnering with Haystack Sourcing Solutions to offer Mark Mitchell’s Spicy Queso Hoops. It’s a chip - ok, an onion ring - that will be available in a Missouri chain called Schnuck’s. It’ll also be available in other convenience stores around the state. If you’re in Missouri or passing through, it might be worth a try.
