Thea lives Down Under with Peter’s father, Savvas, as she battles her declining health.
Last year, Peter celebrated his parents’ 69th wedding anniversary and paid tribute to them, admitting how “really tough it is to see your parents age or become ill”.
Peter, who shares four children, Theo, Amelia, 10, and baby Arabella with his wife Emily, as well as Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with Katie Price, recently returned from visiting his parents Down Under.
Reflecting on the trip, he described the experience as deeply emotional and shared an update on his mother’s condition.
Speaking about his time with his parents, Peter told The Mirror: “Being with my mum and dad in Australia was incredible, but understandably also very emotional.
“I went with my brother, Michael, and we got to spend quality time with my sister as well. The hardest bit for me is leaving them. Both Mum and Dad are on the decline, unfortunately, especially my mum.”
He continued: “Every moment was incredible. Thank you to everyone for all the lovely messages I received when I was there. Even though I know it’s part of life, I can assure you it doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.
“I should be back there very soon for the premiere of my upcoming film Jafaica, which will be amazing.”
During his trip back home, Peter delighted fans with a clip showing their tender moments together.
His mum could be seen in bed, propped up with pillows and wrapped up in a zebra-print blanket
Doting son Peter was perched in a chair alongside her, with their arms wrapped together and holding hands.
In his emotional Instagram caption, he wrote: “Love you mum. It’s getting harder and harder to see you like this.
“I cherish every moment I have with you,” rounding off his words with a red love heart Emoji icon.
In the video, he flashed a bittersweet smile as he said: “Just me and mama, sitting here, linked arms, just chilling together.”
Fans were quick to react, with one writing: “Aww what a lovely video Peter, I’m so so happy that you got to go and see your mum.”
Another posted: “Such lovely precious moment so glad you got over there too see her I am sure she was really made up to see you.”
A third noted: “Love the love you have for her.”
One then added: “Aww bless, so glad you was able to get to go and see your mum, this is a lovely video Peter.”
The dad of five then added a snap of his parents together and posted: “Only dad can make her laugh like this.
“I love them both beyond words.”
STRONG BOND
Last year, Flava singer Pete said growing older comes with the pain of seeing his elderly parents’ health deteriorating.
At the time, he wrote in his New! Magazine column: “Although I thank God my parents are still here, I am seeing the rapid decline, especially in Mum.
“I find that part hard to deal with.”
The star added: “Like most people, l’m so close to my parents that it is really difficult to come to terms with.”
Peter took all of his kids – including his youngest children and wife Emily – to see his parents in 2023.
The chart topper previously said he was finding visiting Aus tricky due to his kids’ school arrangements and Emily’s work commitments as an NHS doctor.
