Tragedy as ‘much-loved’ mum-of-four, 42, dies suddenly from hidden condition – leaving ‘beautiful’ children devastated
HEARTFELT tributes have been paid to a “much-loved” mum-of-four after she died suddenly from a hidden condition.
Vicky Jones, died just two days before Christmas at the age of 42 due to an undiagnosed heart condition.
Described as “a source of joy” and the linchpin of her family she leaves behind her husband Matt and their children Charlie, Ali, Arayah, and Evrah.
She co-founded the Tyn Dwr Hall wedding venue in Llangollen, Wales.
The wedding venue released a heartfelt statement describing her as a “guiding light” and a “source of joy”.
They said: “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of our beloved Vicky on December 23, 2024. Vicky, founder and co-owner of Tyn Dwr Hall, was the heart of her family.
“To her husband Matt, and their beautiful children Charlie, Ali, Arayah, and Evrah Vicky was the centre of their universe.
“She was a guiding light, a source of joy, and a pillar of strength.
“Vicky was cruelly taken away too early by an undiagnosed heart condition.
“Words cannot capture the depth of our loss but in this difficult time we reflect on the extraordinary impact she had on all of us.”
The statement added: “Tyn Dwr Hall was Vicky’s dream and vision. Matt had been searching for a new larger premises for Knights Construction and when she found the hall she declared that it was far too beautiful to be a building yard and so the dream began.
“The hall now creates wonderful memories full of love for all of our couples and their families and it was this that made her so proud.”
Tributes have been paid to Vicky who, along with her husband Matt, was a key figure in the renovation of Tyn Dwr Hall.
Many have taken to social media to pay tribute to Vicky with Rebecca McHugh saying: “An exceptional woman. ‘Normal people’ don’t achieve an inch of what she and her family have. It’s so cruel.
“Though she’ll outlive us all in everything she made happen.”
Morgan Davies added: “Brought life and excitement everywhere she went and cared deeply about the teams within the establishments that she co-owned. Taken way too soon.”
Signs of 'silent' heart disease
HEART disease is one of the UK’s biggest killers — but many of its symptoms can be missed.
There are four main types of heart disease: coronary heart disease, stroke, peripheral arterial disease and aortic disease.
Here are some of the signs of heart disease:
Trouble breathing
Panting or weezing are other signs you could be suffering with heart disease.
Feeling short of breath could indicate you have heart failure — which is often caused by coronary heart disease — an abnormal heart rhythm, or could be about to have a heart attack.
Lower leg swelling
Swelling your lower legs can also be a sign of heart failure, as well as poor circulation in your legs.
It could indicate there is a clot in your leg that is blocking blood returning to your heart.
Heart palpitations
Feeling your heart flutter could also be a sign of heart disease.
Dizziness
If your heart isn’t pumping enough blood to the brain it can cause lightheadedness and dizzy spells.
This could be a result of heart failure, an abnormal heart rhythm or a lesser known sign of heart attack.
Skin colour changes
Poor circulation can cause parts of your skin to turn blue or grey, particularly in your fingers and toes.
This could indicate narrowed or blocked blood vessels.
Sexual problems
Men who struggle with performance in bed may also be at risk of heart disease.
Problems with achieving an erection could indicate the blood supply to your manhood is not strong, indicating problems with the arteries.
