Spurs fans are calling for Ange Postecoglou to be sacked after diabolical Everton display
After seeing their side trail 3-0 to Everton at half time, some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been calling for a managerial change.
Tottenham’s awful form continued at Goodison Park with the Toffees holding a commanding advantage against Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Postecoglou’s decision to move Archie Gray to right-back and push Pedro Porro further forward caused some eyebrows to be raised, rather than moving the 18-year-old into a central midfield role in front of the back four.
While some fans may have still been on the fence of whether Ange Postecoglou should still be Tottenham head coach, some are now calling for his head.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy and the board are watching on from the stands and they should also be held fully accountable for the state of the team.
Ange Postecoglou’s time at Spurs manager could be over
Taking to Twitter/X at the interval, Patrick Tyrant has called on the club to end Postecoglou’s employment this evening, posting: “SACK. HIM. TONIGHT!”
Among the replies, one fan said: “Should have been sacked weeks ago the negligence of this board is disgraceful.”
Another admitted: “Clueless. Up there with the worst managers we’ve ever had”, while another Spurs fan chipped in: “Rhere’s no way anyone in any industry can perform this badly and still be employed. Even with resource issues, you adapt and do things in a different way to get the results you need. This is worse than diabolical. Everton are mediocre at best and they’re having a party vs. us.”
There are still some who are loyal to the former Celtic boss who chimed in with: “Very unfair to blame the manager for this.”
Not only Postecoglou is accountable for this mess
While Ange is the man who picks the team and dictates the way we play, the board have to also be accountable for the sheer state of the club at the moment. 19 days into the transfer window and all we have signed to date is Antonin Kinsky.
These are very worrying times for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
