Mullah Abdul Kabir takes over as acting head of Ministry of Refugees
Officials in the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations have announced that the first coordination meeting of the ministry, with its deputies, directors, and officers, was held under the leadership of Mullah Abdul Kabir.
In a statement released on Sunday, January 19, the ministry assured that Mullah Abdul Kabir had confirmed his commitment to resolving existing issues and challenges.
The statement further mentioned that the new acting head of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations of Taliban urged all employees to continue their duties within the framework of administration, as they had in the past.
Previously, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Taliban, announced that Mullah Abdul Kabir had begun his role as the acting head of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations.
On January 20, the leader of the Taliban issued a decree appointing Mullah Abdul Kabir as the acting head of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations.
This comes after Khalil-ur-Rahman Haqqani, the former acting head of the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations of Taliban, was killed in a suicide attack about 40 days ago.
