‘Repositioning’: Israeli govt shifts stance on Palestinian Authority
The Israeli government appears to be “repositioning” itself following the resignation of its far-right members, namely Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, FRANCE 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky said. Citing Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar who said he considers the Palestinian Authority as much a terror group as Hamas, Tarnopolsky said “that is actually a position that has tripped up the Israeli government very badly, by refusing to accept the internationally recognised authority of the Palestinian government”.
