How Cooper Flagg Fared In Local Homecoming For Duke-BC Matchup
Cooper Flagg rose to national prominence as a Maine native who took over the basketball world as an elite high school prospect. The dominant athlete chose to take his career to Duke before an inevitable path to the NBA draft.
The ACC schedule brought Flagg back to New England for a homecoming of sorts in Saturday’s matchup against the Boston College Eagles. Fans packed into Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass., to get a glimpse of the man who will, in all likelihood, be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
The Blue Devils bested the Eagles in an 88-63 final, though Boston College kept it within six at halftime. Flagg met the moment with local hype and led all scorers with 28 points. His impact spread up and down the floor with five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals.
