NYSP seeks suspect in alleged gang assault in Philmont
PHILMONT, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- New York State Police are investigating an alleged gang assault that happened in Philmont on January 10. Troopers say they are looking for one suspect, William Metz, 34, of Claverack for his involvement in the reported assault.
According to state police, around 2:40 a.m. on January 10, troopers responded to reports of an alleged assault on Main Street. When they arrived, troopers reported finding a single victim with multiple injuries.
Troopers said the victim reported an assault by four suspects who fled the scene. The victim was later transported to Albany Medical Center for Treatment.
As troopers continued their investigation, on January 11, three were arrested for their roles. They were:
- Victoria F. Mannino, 51, of Germantown, on charges of gang assault in the first degree, robbery in the first degree, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree.
- Andrea R. Bogucki, 46, of Claverack, on charges of gang assault in the first degree, driving while ability impaired due to drugs, unlawfully fleeing in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, and multiple vehicle and traffic law citations
- Natasha Montague, 41, of Catskill, on one count of gang assault in the first degree.
The three were arraigned in Claverack Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail. Troopers have issued an arrest warrant for Metz on the charges of gang assault in the first degree and assault in the second degree; both are felony charges.
