Pezeshkian arrives in Moscow to sign long-term cooperation agreement with Russia
Recently, Iranian media reported that Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, has arrived in Russia with the aim of expanding bilateral relations.
According to Iranian media reports on Friday, January 17, Pezeshkian has traveled to Russia not only to strengthen bilateral ties between Iran and Russia but also to sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.
Based on reports, the President of Iran left Tehran on Wednesday for a three-day trip, first heading to Tajikistan and then to Russia. Today, after completing his two-day visit to Tajikistan and leaving the capital, Dushanbe, he proceeded to Moscow.
It is worth mentioning that during his one-day visit to Russia, the President will meet with Russian businessmen and industrialists and engage in discussions with them. Additionally, Pezeshkian will answer questions in an interview with Russia’s national television network.
Meanwhile, the press office of the Kremlin announced that Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian, the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran, will meet to discuss bilateral relations, as well as topics such as the situation in Syria, Palestinian issues, the Israeli regime, the Caucasus region, and other significant matters.
This visit underscores the growing importance of strategic cooperation between Iran and Russia. Both countries continue to navigate complex regional dynamics, and their partnership serves as a critical element in addressing various geopolitical challenges.
