Pick Up the Pieces, and Build the Cullen House
Now you have a really good answer to the eternal question: “Bella! Where the hell have you been, loca?” “The Cullen Lego house.” A new, Twilight-themed product is coming to market: a plastic mini-version of the Cullen House. The set costs $220 and is currently available to preorder for shipping on February 1, which means you’ll probably get it in time for Valentine’s Day. What’s more romantic than brushing hands with someone as you put together a house inspired by the Stephenie Meyers classic? The set comes with Edward (with “sparkle effect”), Bella, Jacob, Alice (with her iconic flip-do), Rosalie, Carlisle, and even Charlie Swan, who does not appear to have a gun.
The house is actually Hoke House, a real piece of modern architecture in Portland, Oregon, that won the American Society of Landscape Architects Oregon’s 2012 Merit Award. Vulture has reached out to Skylab, which designed the house, for comment. When the house does come up in the Twilight fandom, the stans generally bemoan that the current Hoke House owners are not tourist-friendly and have put up “No Trespassing” signs — though some fans in Oregon note that they still see people taking pictures. But no need to trek all the way out there when you have Cullen House at home.
