Fundraiser for school's comfort dog's surgeries surpasses goal
LEE, Mass. (NEWS10) -- The fundraiser for Lee Middle and High School's comfort dog has passed its original goal. The school community was aiming to $20,000 for 3-year-old Maci.
Maci needs two surgeries to fix a bone deformation and torn ligaments in her knees. Without it, doctors believe she won’t have much time.
“If we don’t get the donation, I don’t know what any of us would do. It would feel like something’s missing because I know she comes into most of my classes, she’s basically a part of my day,” ninth grader Myranda Smith previously told NEWS10.
Anyone interested in helping Maci can find a donation link on the school’s website or use the GoFundMe link.
