Brit ‘drugs mule’ Kim Hall ‘who smuggled £15m haul of cocaine’ set to appear in US court on birthday
ALLEGED British drugs mule Kim Hall has a birthday date — to appear in court in the US.
The beautician made an appearance at Chicago’s criminal courthouse this week accused of smuggling 43kg of cocaine worth £15million.
The case was adjourned and she has to appear next on February 20 — her 29th birthday.
Hall is fighting charges for which she faces up to 60 years in jail.
She was stopped at the city’s O’Hare Airport on her way home from holiday in Mexico.
The drugs were found in her two suitcases as she waited for a connecting flight to the UK.
She has since spent five months under house arrest in the US but insists she is innocent.
Hall, of Middlesbrough, claims two men forced her to take the bags after threatening her.
She previously told The Sun: “There’s no way that I would knowingly transport drugs.
“I didn’t knowingly smuggle drugs. I’m not a drug trafficker and I’m going to fight to prove my innocence with every bone in my body.”
