Molly was on a shoot for her Filter brand at the time of her talking, and struggled to concentrate on the job in hand, amid her split.
She tells the cameras: “My whole coping mechanism over the last few months is that we will get back to a better place.
“The positive part of my life now is that Tommy and I are working on this and things are going in a more positive direction.
“I think if things were in a really bad place with Tommy and I had all this drama going on with Maebe I think genuinely I would have a breakdown.”
Molly-Mae adds: “Co-parenting right now is going quite well. We are communicating about Bambi, so it’s not like you’ve really lost that person they are still there.”
She adds, while talking to the camera,: “To be perfectly honest with you I think what’s getting me through is the hope that Tommy and I will end up back together.
“All I want is for us to work.
“It has obviously been a bit of a dark cloud over Maebe, it’s really not a nice place to be. Especially when you are a young person that is gonna make mistakes.”
Love Island 2019 couple Tommy and Molly shocked fans when they announced the end of their relationship on social media in the summer.
And The Sun exclusively reported how Molly’s new Amazon Prime series was “in chaos” after the pics of Molly-Mae’s NYE snog with ex Tommy emerged.
It has since been revealed the reality TV series will document the passionate moment.
And ahead of the series premiere on Friday, Molly spoke about the kiss at her show’s launch and finally addressed what has been the talk of 2025 amongst her fans.
Molly, who shares her two-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy, said of the snog: “It’s just – we are navigating a really complicated time in both of our lives, in the public eye and it’s a whole new territory for me.
“Tommy and I’s relationship has always been in the public eye and it’s new to deal with this breakup with millions of eyes and it is complicated.”
She continued: “The reason why I don’t comment on it or speak about it on my YouTube publicly is because we’ve both navigating it ourselves, and we’re both figuring it out as adults and as parents and we’re doing the best we can.
“I really do feel like the documentary is going to answer a lot of questions.”
It comes as Tommy blamed his split from Molly-Mae on his addiction to alcohol and revealed he would drink to get ‘black-out drunk’ most nights.
Tommy was accused of cheating on her before she called off their five year relationship, after being sent an “upsetting video” showing him on a lads holiday in Macedonia.
The professional boxer has now broken his silence on the those cheating allegations during an emotional interview with Men’s Health.
He admitted he had became dependant on alcohol following a painful boxing injury – saying “my mental health was in the pan”.
