Hazardous weather outlook issued for parts of New York and New Jersey
NEW YORK (PIX11) – The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for New York and New Jersey on Thursday.
Forecasters say there is a chance of afternoon snow showers which could lead to some slippery spots during the evening commute.
PIX11 meteorologists predict flurries will begin around noon and eventually taper off by 7 p.m.
About an inch of snow or less is expected to fall over New York City, Long Island, the lower Hudson Valley, and some parts of New Jersey, according to meteorologists.
The snow is expected to have limited impacts but meteorologists still warn commuters to be careful of untreated roadways and walkways in the evening.
