More clouds, few sprinkles possible Thursday around Portland area
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A weak front will drop temperatures across the greater Portland, Vancouver area on Thursday as a few brief showers are possible.
Most of the Pacific Northwest will remain dry on Thursday, but some along the coast could see a light drizzle. The northern Willamette Valley will see mostly cloudy skies early and a brief rain shower or two are possible later in the afternoon. No real rain accumulation is expected with this weak winter system.
Morning fog will transition to mostly cloudy skies on Thursday along the Willamette Valley. A few sun breaks are possible near sunset as dry and clear skies return to the region on Friday.
No additional snow is expected over the Oregon Cascades as cooler temperatures keep the snow in place.
Drier skies are expected through the end of the week. A few more weekend clouds won't stop early morning lows from falling into the upper 20s. These freezing morning lows will take Portland and much of the Pacific Northwest into the start of next week. This is much more reasonable than the conditions felt across much of the country as an arctic blast takes shape this weekend.
