MAFS UK star Sacha reveals she’s got married AGAIN – but things aren’t quite as they seem
SHE was left heartbroken by her split from MAFS UK husband Ross McCarthy.
But it seems Sacha Jones has put the break-up behind her once and for all, as she has revealed in a shocking new video that she’s got married AGAIN.
While things with MAFS husband Ross had seemed to be going well, the pair split shortly after the TV experiment finished filming[/caption] They also had numerous arguments on the show, with often explosive shouting matches[/caption]In a TikTok video, Sacha began: “I got married again…!”
The 29-year-old, an aesthetics practitioner from Birmingham, then went on to explain that everything wasn’t quite it at first seemed.
Instead of walking down the aisle for a second time, she’s actually “married our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ“.
“Now guys this is a purity ring and I just wanted to explain that to you,” she continued.
“A purity ring just represents your commitment to God and vowing to stay abstinent until marriage.
“They’re on your hand as a reminder of your vow to God if you ever get tempted.”
On MAFS UK, Sacha became famous for her abstinence, as she told Ross she wasn’t planning to be intimate with him until their relationship was well established.
“Since leaving the show and finding my faith you may have heard me in interviews say I don’t think I would ever be intimate before marriage now but this represents that final decision,” she said.
Sacha added that she’d seen a lot about purity rings – which were made famous in the early 2000s thanks to stars including the Jonas Brothers wearing them – on her social media pages.
And she took this as a “sign” that “God was communicating with me”.
When Sacha opened up about her purity ring decision to her friends, one of them told her that it was a “lot to ask” of herself.
To which she replied: “I’m fully aware that might not meet anyone, and I’m okay with that.
“And in that case I might be single for the rest of my life but I’ll be committed to the Lord and that’s all I care about.”
And she’s now hoping that the rings become “more of a thing in England”.
For the ring itself, she went to Pandora and chose one with angel wings on it – and it only set her back £25.
“A lot of the other girls also went for massive ones but I did see another video like, that’s probably not a great idea because people think yeah actually engaged and then you will probably be single forever!
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
“So yeah I just got a little one.”
“It’s great because if anyone gets confused that I might be married… and they’re was like ‘Oh so are you married?’ you can get straight into it.
“Like ‘no I’m abstinent until marriage’ and it just cuts out anyone that wants to waste your time.”
“Married? AGAIN?! Explaining my vow to remain abstinent until marriage and a purity ring,” Sacha captioned her video.
People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “This is beautiful.
“It’s so lovely to see your journey with Christ.”
“Congratulations to your commitment to God, Sach,” another added.
“I’ve been celibate 2.5years,” a third commented.
“I’ve chosen celibacy as I never want to remarry or be in a relationship again.”
But now she’s pledged to be celibate until she gets married[/caption]
