Fabrizio Romano reveals the very 'interested' clubs in Marcus Rashford - report
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed which clubs are most interested in signing Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
United are ready to let Rashford leave this month to pave the way for new additions to the squad. The forward is also not opposed to leaving.
AC Milan, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, West Ham United and Barcelona have all been linked with him.
His agent was in Italy last week to discuss a potential move with Juventus and Milan, but there was no concrete discussion about signing the United academy graduate.
Dortmund have a good relationship with Man United. They signed forward Jadon Sancho on loan in the last winter transfer window.
They could do the same with Rashford, who is in the same position as Sancho when they signed him.
Barcelona’s interest in the 27-year-old is a surprise considering their financial situation. They just secured temporary registration for midfielder Dani Olmo and forward Pau Victor.
Romano claims Barca and Milan are the ‘two most interested clubs’ in the England international.
Barcelona have had a ‘conversation’ regarding a possible deal, but the club’s desire to sign Rashford may depend on Ansu Fati.
The Spanish winger’s career has been hampered by injuries, denying him the opportunity to play to his maximum potential.
Barcelona are open to letting him leave this month, which could help their pursuit of Rashford.
The Spanish giants and Milan are still waiting for Rashford’s ‘decision’ and the ‘final conditions of the deal’.
They want to know how ‘much of his salary will be covered’ and whether United will demand a ‘loan fee’.
The deal may ‘take some time’. This could also affect the Red Devils’ transfer plans for this month. His departure would help them sign new players as it would reduce their wage bill.
They may have to wait until his exit is sorted or hope that other high-earners, such as Casemiro and Antony, leave the club soon to allow them to sign new players.
