'Shapeshifter' Zuckerberg torched for 'MMA fighter cosplay' by Alabama columnist
Kyle Whitmire, a columnist for AL.com, has penned a scathing takedown of Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg for his sudden transformation into red-pilled Trump supporter ahead of the president-elect's second term.
In his piece, Whitmire labels Zuckerberg a "billionaire shapeshifter" and documents how quickly he decided to ax Facebook's fact-checking program and its anti-hate speech policies just after Trump's election.
Whitmire contends that Zuckerberg didn't make these changes out of some sincere change of heart but rather because Trump had threatened to jail him in a second term if the tech industry titan didn't bend to his will.
"In short, he’s afraid, as is every other billionaire shapeshifter who has bent the knee of late," he argues. "Zuckerberg can opine about masculine energy with Joe Rogan and cosplay as an MMA fighter in his free time, but the moment Mister Babyhands threatened to lay a finger on him, he buckled like an overcooked noodle."

He notes that this sudden shapeshifting should make progressives much more wary whenever corporate America makes noises about supporting diversity or other liberal causes.
"Corporations do not have beliefs, only positions — and those positions may change without warning to suit their interests," he writes. "When a company says on its Instagram feed that Black lives matter or that queer people deserve fair treatment, that’s not a statement of principle. It’s marketing."
On a more disturbing note, Whitmire thinks that the egregious nature of shapeshifting by big tech executives means that they might be afraid of more than just their business fortunes.
"As President Xi Jinping consolidated power, Chinese corporate executives have vanished overnight, and in Russia, private jets sometimes fall conspicuously from the sky," he warns. "We may say nothing like that could happen here, but to a small degree, it already has."
