Coronation Street teen star reveals unlikely connection with Simon Cowell as he hangs out with mogul on BGT set
A CORONATION Street teen has revealed he has an unlikely secret connection with Simon Cowell.
The surprise friendship was revealed on social media after the two spent time with one another backstage at the most recent set of Britain’s Got Talent auditions in Blackpool.
Kyran Bowes has played teen Jack Webster on the ITV soap opera since April 2016.
But it seems he could have his sights firmly set on being a member of the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel if his latest social media posts are anything to go by.
Sharing a collection of snaps from his time on set, Kyran appeared to reveal that his mum was a part of the programme’s crew as he shared a supportive message to her to mark her time “working with BGT”.
Kyran wrote: “The best few days spending time at @BGT meeting @SimonCowell getting to sit In the judges chairs AND getting to press the golden buzzer with my sister
“Thanks mum for sorting it. So happy you got to work with BGT so proud of you.
Kyran could be seen shaking Simon’s hand in between auditions in one photo as well as proudly posing with him in another.
He and his sister also got to sit at the show’s famous judging desk and hit the golden buzzer in another heart-warming moment.
Kyran later re-shared another post from the official BGT account showing the end of the long-run of Blackpool auditions.
For the first time in the ITV talent show’s history, all the auditions were recorded at the Northern seaside town as opposed to London and Manchester as has been the case in the past.
Teasing what is to come from this year – judge Amanda Holden previously revealed a naked man and another who writhed around in mud pretending to be a pig are on the bill.
She recently told her co-host JK on the Heart FM Breakfast show where she revealed the fully nude man took her and her co-stars by surprise.
Amanda said: “We have had a naked man on stage, like fully naked.
“But he did have certain bits… sort of… covered, well that was part of the routine anyway.”
