It is understood the branch is opening inside the St David’s Shopping Centre, RestaurantOnline reports.
David Moffat, country manager, said: “We’re thrilled to bring this iconic brand to Cardiff, our first location in the UK.
“Carl’s Jr. has a reputation for delivering high-quality, crave-worthy food that stands out in the burger market.
“We’ve had incredible interest from fans eager to experience Carl’s Jr. difference, and we can’t wait to welcome them this April.”
Founded in 1941, Carl’s Jr. currently has more than 1,000 locations across the US and operates in 28 countries globally.
In Europe, Carl’s Jr already has restaurants in Spain, France, Denmark, Turkey, and Switzerland.
It has garnered a massive following across the world too, with customers preferring it to some other major chains.
Posting on Reddit, one branded the fast food giant “better than most, including McDonald’s and Burger King“.
Another said: “The Western Bacon Cheeseburger is undefeated.”
A third said: “Man I love their burgers.”
It’s unclear at this stage the exact date the Cardiff branch will open.
