Shenendehowa moves to 10 and 0 with win over Niskayuna
NISKAYUNA, NY (NEWS10) -- The Niskayuna boys basketball team hosted Shenendehowa in a Suburban Council clash between two teams unbeaten in league play. The Plainsmen, 9-0 overall on the season, beat the Silver Warriors in the first meeting between the two teams, but it did not count toward the league standings.
The Plainsmen took control early in a defensive first half. Shen led 12-6 after the first quarter, and took a 24-14 advantage into halftime.
The Silver Warriors cut the lead to four in the third quarter, but the Plainsmen grew it back to 13 by the end of the quarter. Shen held on from there, moving to 10-0 this season with a 63-49 win.
Begad Ibrahim and Jacob Stewart led Shen with 15 points each. The Plainsmen had four players in double figures. Daniel Smalls and Brady Olsen led Niskayuna with 20 points each.
