My skin is flawless thanks to a 22p hack that banishes wrinkles – all you need is a kitchen staple
ACHIEVING the perfect glassy skin look doesn’t have to break the bank.
One woman shared the DIY skincare step she swears by for warding off wrinkles.
TikTok user Jaime Nicole shared the homemade skincare hack she swears by for a smooth complexion[/caption]In her viral video, TikTok user Jaime Nicole (@jaimesskin) talked her followers through her homemade hack.
She explained that the method helps to tighten and firm the face, ensuring skin smoothness.
According to the TikToker, the DIY trick also helps to reduce pores “overtime.”
However, she clarified that you need to carry out the beauty step consistently to see long-term results.
She advised her audience to apply egg whites to their face the next time they’re preparing for a big event.
“Egg whites contain a protein that increases skin elasticity and decreases discolouration,” Jaime explained.
She recalled how her mum was initially sceptical and now swears by the step after trying it.
The TikToker recommended whisking the egg whites until they’re “kind of bubbly.”
For the next step, she demonstrated how to “paint” the egg whites onto your skin.
She explained that you can also use toilet roll or blotting paper to create a peel-off mask.
Once you have completely covered your face, Jaime advised applying another layer.
Jaime then patted toil roll over the mixture until it lay flat on her face.
She recommended letting the egg whites dry until they have hardened on your face.
“Once it’s dry we can start peeling it off, it’s so satisfying,” she told viewers.
The skincare enthusiast added that her skin felt “so soft” after the process.
Biggest skincare trends for 2025
Face The Future’s Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025.
1. Exosomes
Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery. Whether in topical formulations or clinic-based treatments, they’re a gamechanger for targeting ageing and compromised skin barriers.
2. Streamlined Skincare
The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we’ll see a rise in hybrid products like CeraVe AM Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF50 which combine active ingredients like ceramides with a broad-spectrum SPF50 for simplified, effective results.
3. Vegan Collagen
Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world in 2025, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums, designed to enhance elasticity and hydration whist catering to a more eco-conscious audience.
4. The Rise Of AI
AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level.
5. Hair Loss Solutions –
Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it’s no longer just something we’re talking about behind closed doors. In 2025, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health.
TikTok users shared their thoughts on the skincare recommendation in the comments section.
“Do I hate eggs? Yes. Have I been convinced? Also, yes,” wrote one follower.
“My mother made me do this through puberty to prevent acne, scars, and spots, only we added lemon to the egg white for pigmentation but I’m trying this now,” said another viewer.
“OMG, I just tried this and all the bumps on my nose are GONE! Thank you so much,” commented a third person.
“My mum does this, especially after a day in the sun. It helps with sunburns,” shared another TikTok user.
