Dorian Finney-Smith doubtful vs. Heat due to personal reasons
The Lakers look likely to be without one of their newest players in Dorian Finney-Smith on Wednesday against the Miami Heat.
After playing in every contest since arriving in Los Angeles, Dorian Finney-Smith could miss his first game for the Lakers on Wednesday.
Ahead of the team’s game against the Heat, Finney-Smith was a new addition to the team’s injury report, being listed as doubtful due to personal reasons.

We’re certainly not going to speculate on what personal reasons could mean for obvious reasons. All we’ll do is wish the best to DFS and hope that, if he does miss time, it’s a short absence from the team.
From an on-court perspective, DFS has been a positive for the Lakers since donning the purple and gold. Without him, and with Jarred Vanderbilt not yet returning this week, the Lakers will be low on wings against Miami.
Outside of that, the injury report remains the same for the Lakers. As has been the case in recent weeks, LeBron James and Anthony Davis remain probable. Bronny James is upgraded to questionable after being out against the Spurs with an illness.
For the Heat, Jimmy Butler will, obviously, be out as he deals with a case of trademeitis. On top of that, Wednesday’s outing is the last of a seven-game suspension for Butler, though it seems very likely he’s played his last game as a member of the Heat.
Bam Adebayo is questionable with a lower back contusion, Kel’el Ware is probable with right foot soreness and Josh Richardson and Dru Smith are both out.
