Cowboys Fall at Brigham Young
Oklahoma State's men's basketball team rallied from 27 points down to cut Brigham Young's lead to three, but fell to the Cougars 85-69 on Tuesday night at the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah.
OSU trailed 42-15 in the first half before a rally late in the half trimmed the BYU lead to 46-26 at halftime.
The Cowboys then went on a 22-to-2 run early in the second half to trim the lead to 51-48 for the Cougars.
BYU responded from that point to stretch the lead to double digits and win by 16.
The Cougars shot 52 percent from the field and held OSU to just 41 percent.
Five BYU players scored in double figures, led by 18 points from Trevin Knell.
Bryce Thompson and Jamyron Keller led OSU with 15 points each, with Abou Ousmane adding 13 points.
The Cougars outrebounded OSU 38-26 and never trailed in the game.
OSU falls to 9-7 overall, 1-4 in Big 12 play.
The Cowboys host Colorado on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
