Pay it Forward: "You work hard and love Jesus. That's all that matters."
LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY)-- Each month, KLFY News Ten partners with Bob Giles of Giles Automotive to give one local the chance to 'pay it forward' with $1,000.
This month, Bob Giles and Layne Miller met Angel Lormand while Lorman was on her way to a work meeting. Lorman chose to pay it forward to her co-worker, Sarah Russo.
"She's a single lady, working hard, loving the Lord," Lorman said.
Lormand said they are both a part of the media department at Our Savior Church in Lafayette. We followed Lormand to the media meeting and surprised Russo.
Someone else on the media team went to answer the door but noticed the camera. Russo said she'd answer the door instead. She assumed it was someone on the media team filming a video for church.
Russo was surprised to see Bob Giles and News Ten behind the camera.
Russo knew what 'Pay it Forward' was, but she was shocked her co-worker chose her as the recipient. She was even more shocked opening up the envelope of 10 one-hundred-dollar bills.
"Oh my gosh," Russo said. "Oh my gosh."
"You work hard and love Jesus," Lormand said. "That's all that matters."
"God is so good," Russo said. "Won't he do it."
