Michael Jackson gave this necklace to a movie star, now it's for sale in NOLA
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — What you see here can all be yours.
That's if the price is right.
WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood takes you to M. S. Rau.
It's a gallery of a museum where everything has a price tag.
It's on Royal Street in the French Quarter and it's where you can show up for a show of work by the artist Marc Chagall.
He said that art without love is not art at all.
You'll love to see his masterpieces. You'll see how he created poetry with a paintbrush.
He was born in Russia in the late 1800s. His mom ran a grocery store and it was in high school where he first fell in love with art.
He produced more than 10,000 pieces to become "the poet of color."
Also in the museum is a necklace from Elizabeth Taylor, given to her by superstar Michael Jackson.
"It got 20-karat diamonds, emeralds, and rubies and it's formed in this beautiful, unique monkey design," said Marjorie Rowle.
What a thriller.
Now it's in New Orleans until it finds a new home.
