Rensselaer Co. to swear in Scott Rogers as legislator
EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- At their meeting on Tuesday night, the Rensselaer County Legislature will appoint Scott Rogers at 6 p.m. Roger's appointment comes after previous legislator Brian Stall resigned in December.
Beyond living in Rensselaer for over 30 years, Rogers was an alderman for the area from 2002 to 2005. After 25 years of service, he retired from working as a New York State corrections officer and is now a private security officer.
Rogers said he looks forward to continuing the path that former legislator Stall set and working closely with Mayor Michael Stammel. "The Legislature has supported tremendous progress in Rensselaer County and I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and helping to continue the momentum," he said.
