Clay County Medical Center shares progress report on facility upgrades
CLAY CENTER (KSNT) - A local health center is sharing its excitement this month as it moves closer to completing renovation work at its facilities in Clay Center.
Bryce Dolan with Clay County Medical Center (CCMC) said in a press release on Jan. 14 that his organization is sharing updates this week on its ongoing construction project. This project is meant to expand and improve its facilities for local residents.
The CCMC is busy building the new Clay Center Family Physicians (CCFP) with exterior framing underway and workers now shifting toward establishing the structural framework as part of the expansion efforts. Crews are set to begin installing exterior sheathing in the coming days with additional preparations being made for the roof installation.
"We are thrilled to see our vision for these facility upgrades coming to life," said Austin Gillard, CEO of Clay County Medical Center. “These projects not only allow us to better serve our patients today but also ensure we’re equipped to meet the evolving needs of our community for years to come. We appreciate the community’s continued support and patience during this exciting period of growth.”
Dolan said significant progress is also being made on improving accessibility at the emergency department's entrance. Workers have laid the foundations for a new ADA-compliant ramp with future efforts focusing on completing sidewalks to enhance the accessibility of the facility to visitors and patients.
The CCMC can be found at 617 Liberty Street in Clay Center. You can learn more about it by heading to the CCMC's website.
