Thomas Tuchel returns to Chelsea for first time since he was sacked as England manager watches Bournemouth clash
THOMAS TUCHEL is back at Chelsea for the first time since getting the sack in September 2022.
As exclusively revealed by SunSport on Sunday, Tuchel, 51, returns to Stamford Bridge on a scouting mission in the Blues’ match against Bournemouth.
Now England boss, he can sit in a comfy seat and cast his eyes over Chelsea duo Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill, who start for The Blues.
The German tactician was axed by the Blues bout a year after winning the Champions League on his debut season in west London.
The ex-Paris Saint-Germain boss replaced Frank Lampard at the helm and transformed the team.
However, the former Bayern Munich manager was dismissed by the club’s new ownership and replaced by Graham Potter.
It came following a run of three wins in seven games, with the sacking put down to poor results and differences of opinion.
After a brief stint with Bayern, Tuchel returned to England football to take over the national team late last year.
And the former Borussia Dortmund boss officially took charge in the New Year.
The Three Lions’ gaffer has been going round the country to attend the last couple of gameweeks.
