Trump rips 'Marble Mouth' Seth Meyers
President-elect Trump is slamming Seth Meyers, saying the late-night host's TV show isn't "entertainment," but more like a political hit job.
"How bad is Seth Meyers on NBC, a 'network' run by a truly bad group of people," Trump wrote Tuesday in a post on Truth Social.
"I got stuck watching Marble Mouth Meyers the other night, the first time in months," Trump said of the "Late Night" host, "and every time I watch this moron I feel an obligation to say how dumb and untalented he is, merely a slot filler for the Scum that runs Comcast."
"These guys should be paying a lot of money for the right to give these 'in kind' contributions to the Radical Left Democrat Party. These are not shows or entertainment, they are simply political hits, 100 percent of the time, to me and the Republican Party," the incoming president continued.
A spokesperson for Meyers didn't return ITK's request for comment.
Meyers has been one of several late-night hosts — including CBS's Stephen Colbert and ABC's Jimmy Kimmel — who have skewered Trump on a regular basis on their shows.
The "Saturday Night Live" alum said in 2018 of the then-president, “[Trump] turned himself into an object of ridicule.”
"This is a case of judo, where you’re using someone else’s momentum against them. It’s not like we’re attacking. We’re just sort of like steering his weight and letting him take himself down," Meyers said at the time.
Trump has also been highly critical of the late-night TV landscape over the years.
“The one-sided hatred on these shows is incredible and for me, unwatchable," he said in 2019. Trump has repeatedly threatened to investigate Comcast — the parent company of NBCUniversal, NBC News and MSNBC — over the networks' news coverage of him.
