Love Island fans spot proof that Gabby still fancies Marcel despite him cheating
LOVE Island fans have spotted proof that Gabby Allen still fancies her ex Marcel Somerville, despite his cheating.
The Love Island Villa was already in chaos after exes Gabby and Marcel clashed just minutes into the show.
Gabby, 32, targeted Marcel, 39, because their villa relationship ended in tatters when he cheated on her during a romantic holiday in Mexico.
Before entering the All Stars villa, Gabby told The Sun she and Marcel hadn’t spoken since their break-up in 2018.
The Blazin Squad star cheated on Gabby with a holidaymaker while she slept on holiday, and then arranged to meet the other woman again when Gabby went to gym.
But Love Island fans have spotted a ‘big clue’ that Gabby is still very much into Marcel – and it’s because she calls him by his nickname, ‘Marce.’
In the launch episode of All Stars 2025, Gabby was heard calling Marcel ‘Marce’ on several occasions, and fans think it could mean a romantic reunion is on the cards between them.
One person penned: “Marce?! Oh there are still feelings there.”
Someone else wrote: “Marcel and Gabby are so going to get back together,” and a third echoed: “Oh no, Gabby calling Marcel Marce proves she’ll take him back in a heartbeat.”
Another fan wrote: “Gabby is still stuck on Marcel all these years later, and that’s so sad.”
Before entering the villa, Gabby told us: “I haven’t seen him for six years, so I don’t know how I’m going to feel when I see him.
“It was a big betrayal of trust. Even though I’m over it now, it was something that happened.”
Gabby insisted there are “no hard feelings” on her part and is hoping that she and Marcel can build a friendship in the villa.
She continued: “I’d actually like to have a conversation with him and put it behind us and have some sort of friendship.
“We did go out with each other for a year and we know each other well and we had an experience with each other last time.
“So there’s no reason we shouldn’t take the positives from it and hopefully be mates of some sort.”
Bosses, meanwhile, have defended the decision to put Marcel back in the villa even though he is still married.
It was revealed in February that Marcel had walked out on Rebecca Vieira after she was accused of cheating on him with a US pop star.
Days later, Rebecca admitted to the allegations and issued a grovelling apology.
Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer has now urged fans to “give the guy a break” and insisted Marcel is a single man.
When questioned about Marcel’s marital status, Mike replied: “He had a wife! Marcel is single. He’s ready to mingle.
“Give the guy a break. He’s had a tough time.”
