My £5 anti-ageing secret weapon is nature’s Botox – it works wonders on my 11 lines & ‘xylophone’ forehead wrinkles
PEOPLE can end up spending hundreds of pounds on skincare products that claim to get rid of wrinkles.
But one woman has shared the budget-friendly gel she swears by to keep her “xylophone” forehead wrinkles at bay.
Sami took to her TikTok page to gush about the product, which she called “nature’s Botox“.
Showcasing her fresh-faced look and enviably plump skin, Sami explained: “I am not kidding with you.
“I don’t have Botox in my face.
“Clearly my face has like wrinkles – I’m human.
“But I’ve been putting arnica gel on my face and I’m gonna show you what it does when it’s on your face.”
Sami added that she’s normally a “very expressive person” and has “constant 11s” on her face.
“Basically I put arnica gel all over my face and look!” she said.
“This is me moving my forehead, which normally ends up looking like a freaking xylophone.”
Smiling, Sami added that she usually has “crow’s feet” when she grins, but has seen a noticeable difference since she started using the arnica.
“It obviously doesn’t stay permanently,” she said.
“Like you have to wash it off and it’s only there when you put it on.
“So if you don’t like the feeling you literally just wash off and your face moves perfectly again!”
“After I get lip filler my injector always tells me to use arnica gel to help with bruising and I swear it makes my lips more more plump!” one person commented on the video.
“I swear it’s a secret weapon for everything,” Sami replied.
People were quick to weigh in on the hack in the comments section, with one agreeing: “Arnica and Nivea at night best for wrinkles.”
“How long does the effect last?” another asked.
How much does Botox cost?
BOTOX and anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most popular cosmetic treatments available today.
Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves.
The effects last about three to twelve months, depending on what you are treating.
The NHS website estimates each botulinum toxin injection costs £150-£350 per session.
The price varies depending on how much is used per session, they add.
Botox prices fluctuate depending on where you go to get it done and the number of areas treated.
Some companies offer one area for around the £200 mark, and most offer packages if you want to add more areas to your treatment.
It is worth doing your research before you undergo the treatment – and remember that going ‘cheap’ isn’t always a good idea.
“Just until you wash it off!!! And if you don’t wash it off then a couple hours,” Sami replied.
“Can you wear make-up over it? Or would it peel off?” a third questioned.
“Honestly a great question,” Sami said.
“I normally just put it on instead of make-up but that’s just me!”
“I put it under my eyes to help with dark circles and it’s better than any high end product I swearrr,” someone else said.
“I loveee arnica!” another said.
“It saved my skin completely when I got my wisdom teeth out.”
And given you can get a tube of arnica gel for around £5 online, the beauty hack won’t break the bank either.
