Trucks collide, one slams into Gresham coffee shop
GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) -- When two trucks collided at a Gresham intersection Saturday morning, one of them slammed into a coffee shop, causing considerable damage but not seriously injuring anyone.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. near Northeast 2nd Street and Kelly Avenue. One of the trucks then careened into Autumn Coffee Roasting.
Shop owner Andrew Hume, who was at his other location near NE 33rd and Killingsworth in Portland at the time, said he initially panicked when he heard the news.
"I collected my thoughts. I have a good team out there in Portland. I called the folks who were off, got someone there within minutes and then got out here to sort out what was happening. I sent everybody home who didn't need to be here and start cleaning, honestly."
There is no word on what caused the crash or the conditions of the people involved in the crash.
