Northern Trust AM announces five hires, all newcomers joining from Aviva

Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM), an arm of Chicago-based Northern Trust Corp, has hired Kevin Gaydos as head of credit research and made four other hires, all the newcomers joining from Aviva Investors.
Gaydos was co-head of credit research at Aviva, a company headquartered in London, and previously held analyst positions at Iowa-based Principal Global Investors, the Business Wire website said in citing an announcement by NTAM, a company that had $1.3 trillion under management as of September 30.
Melinda Lans-Kautz and Adán Jiménez were recruited as senior credit analysts. Lans-Kautz had research roles at UBS Global Asset Management and Chicago-based financial consultancy PPM America before being hired by Aviva.
Jeff Jones was appointed as senior high-yield trader for the fixed-income team. He worked at Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital before joining Aviva.
Sau Mui was hired as senior high-yield portfolio manager. Before coming to Aviva, she held fixed-income investing roles at PPM America, Chicago-headquartered investment company Harris Associates and Boston-based Putnam Investments.
