Epic fleet of 73 supercars including 36 Porsches, 4 Ferraris & 3 Lamborghinis to sell for eye-watering sum at auction
AN epic fleet of 73 supercars that includes 36 Porsches, four Ferraris and three Lamborghinis is set to sell for an eye-watering sum at auction.
Plus six Aston Martins, six Alfa Romeos, three Bentleys, and two Bugattis – all to appear at a venue that’s seen “record-breaking sales” of some of the “world’s greatest cars“.
Shockingly the private collection is owned by one man – based in Belgium.
It also includes Lancias, Buicks, Citroens, Renaults, BMWs, Maseratis, Shelbys and Jensens.
And the whole lot is tipped to sell for a jaw-dropping £13m.
From a 1928 Lancia lambda Torpedo Lungo to a 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, the collection spans over 90 years of motoring history.
The marquee lot is a 1954 Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback Sports Saloon which is valued at £2m alone.
A 1966 Aston Martin DB6 Shooting Brake could fetch £580,000, while a 1933 Bugatti Type 49 Drophead Coupe is set to go for £460,000.
A 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight is estimated at £1m and a 1961 Ferrari 250 GTE 2 + 2 Series I is valued at £350,000.
There are a dozen Porsches 911s made since 2000, including a 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport worth £400,000.
The cars are going under the hammer at auctioneers RM Sotheby’s in their 2025 Paris sale from February 4 to 5.
On Tuesday, February 4, attendees can expect a public review at 9am, followed by a cocktail at 1pm for Registered Bidders, Consignors, and Invited Guests.
After that, the auction starts at 2pm.
The schedule on February 5 follows suit but with slightly later timings.
Admission to preview the cars is open to the general public, however, those wishing to participate in the auction must be registered bidders, catalogue holders, consignors, and qualified media only.
An RM Sotheby’s spokesperson said: “We are delighted to be offering this exceptional collection on the first day of our now two-day Paris auction at the start of the February.
“What really strikes us from the collection is not just the breadth of cars on offer but the quality of all the examples that are set to cross the block.
“We are very grateful for the owner who has entrusted us with the sale of this remarkable collection.”
Sotherby’s also maintain that Paris is “the ideal location” for its European flagship auction, now in its 12th year.
The auction will be held at the Salles du Carrousel in the Louvre Palace and set in the “Golden Triangle” of Paris.
