Bills to host Ravens in divisional round
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- In the second round of the postseason, the Buffalo Bills will get the chance to avenge their worst loss of the season.
The Bills will square off against the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round. As the No. 2 seed in the AFC, the Bills will host the No. 3 Ravens.
It's an intriguing matchup that pits this year's MVP favorites -- Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson -- against each other with everything on the line.
The Bills will be looking for a very different result this time around against Baltimore. The Ravens handed the Bills their worst defeat of the season in Week 4, steamrolling the Bills in a lopsided 35-10 victory. In that game, Jackson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, and Derrick Henry ran for an 87-yard touchdown on his very first carry of the game. Henry finished with 199 yards on the afternoon and two scores -- and he nearly had a third touchdown before fumbling at the goal line.
That loss aside, the Bills have also had some success against Jackson and the Ravens in recent years. Buffalo won a memorable game in the divisional round against Baltimore four years ago -- when Taron Johnson returned an interception 101 yards for a score -- and the Bills also beat the Ravens in 2022. Sean McDermott's defenses have historically played well against Jackson by keeping defensive ends in their gaps and asking them to remain patient against the elusive quarterback.
In the other AFC divisional game, the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Houston Texans.
