Tottenham player ratings as ‘shocking’ senior man gets 1/10 vs Tamworth
After another magical tie in the FA Cup, it’s time for player ratings, as Tottenham overcome Tamworth after extra-time.
Over the course of the last ninety minutes, we’ve analysed each player’s individual performance, rating them on a scale of 1-10. Let’s take a look at our Tamworth vs Tottenham player ratings.
Tottenham player ratings vs Tamworth
Antonin Kinsky: It was Kinsky’s second appearance for Spurs after a terrific debut in midweek. He kept yet another clean sheet, although this one was more expected than the last. He was dominant aerially and made some important stops. 7.
Pedro Porro: For much of the game, Porro was getting tormented by Enoru, a part-time sales assistant at Zara. It’s a defensive performance we’ve come to expect from Porro in recent weeks. 3.
Radu Dragusin: Dragusin was poor, and he looked out of his depth, strangely enough. 4.
Archie Gray: It was yet another ninety minutes out of position for young Archie Gray, and the 18-year-old is being worked into the ground at the minute. He was consistently comfortable on the ball when playing out and wasn’t particularly troubled defensively although he was dependable when he had to be. 5.
Sergio Reguilon: Reguilon was energetic despite his lack of football recently. He linked up well with Moore and Maddison on the left flank and battled hard. 5.
Yves Bissouma: Bissouma’s technical prowess was levels above anyone else on the pitch bar possibly Maddison, as the Mali international battled hard to win the ball back and dribbled through players with ease. 7.
Pape Sarr: Sarr has had better games, and he lacked any real control over the ball when he had it today. Unusually, he was often beaten to the second ball and could only really manage a pass sideways or backward. 4.
James Maddison: Maddison was desperate to get on the scoresheet today as he had a number of shots in the first half, but he struggled to beat Tamworth’s 34-year-old IT Technician in goal. Like Bissouma, he was one of the only Spurs players who looked out of place due to his technical ability; something a lot of the rest of the squad lacks. 6.
Brennan Johnson: Despite his goal late into added time, Brennan was poor today. He was really predictable with his movement on and off the ball, and he hardly troubled his opposition fullback. That makes it 15 goals and assists in 31 games for Brennan this season (TransferMarkt). 3.
Timo Werner: Werner was beyond shocking in the first half, struggling to keep a hold of the ball every time he got it and that trend continued into the second half. He missed a number of chances and looked completely shell-shocked. Again, he was shocking. 1.
Mikey Moore: Moore was probably Spurs’ most promising attacker for much of the game despite it being his first appearance since late October. He was electric on the ball, driving infield at will and trying to create an opportunity every time he had the ball. He linked up well with Maddison and the signs were there that this is just the beginning of what is to come. 6.
Substitutes:
Djed Spence: Spence came on and was assured at centre-back. 6.
Lucas Bergvall: Bergvall replaced Sarr and orchestrated the midfield, impressing once again. 7.
Dejan Kulusevski: Deki’s goal was really nicely taken, firing a shot across goal into the far corner. 7.
Heung-Min Son: Son looked creative with the ball at his feet, providing the assist to Kulusevski’s goal. 5.5
Dominic Solanke: Solanke was limited opportunities and time on the ball, although he did force an own goal from a Tamworth player. He’s had better games. 5.
