Watch Islam Makhachev brutalize Adin Ross with body punch then tap him with Twister submission
It’s safe to assume Islam Makhachev has a much tougher test on his hands at UFC 311 than what he faced from streamer Adin Ross.
Just days away from his rematch against Arman Tsarukyan in Los Angeles, the UFC lightweight champion got in the cage with Ross, who first wanted to see what it was like to take a body shot from the best pound-for-pound fighter in the sport.
To his credit, Ross wore a full body protector before Makhachev unleashed his punch, but the impact was definitely still felt.

“Oh my god,” Ross screamed after the punch landed.
From there, Makhachev decided to show off arguably his deadliest skill with a submission on the ground as he wrapped Ross up like a pretzel before applying a Twister.
Ross grimaced as Makhachev said “I just want to hug you … you don’t know how to tap?”

A moment later, Ross tapped out as Makhachev could only smile after helping the popular streamer realize that this whole MMA thing isn’t as easy as it looks on television.
As for the real fight ahead of him, Makhachev attempts to defend his lightweight title for a fourth consecutive time, which would set a new UFC record. Makhachev is currently tied with three title defenses with his coach and mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov, who corners him in the fight against Tsarukyan next Saturday from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
