'Satanic freemason': Trump fans lash out as he hires another Project 2025 contributor
Donald Trump's own supporters on Saturday lashed out as the President-elect announced the nomination of a contributor to Project 2025.
Trump during the 2024 presidential campaign distanced himself from Project 2025, the conservative Heritage Foundation's blueprint for a Republican presidential administration. The project was found by polls to be devastating for Republicans, and Trump did what he could to disassociate from those who headed it.
But over the weekend, the former and incoming president announced he would be bringing on someone who had a role in the document.

"I am pleased to announce that Steven Gill Bradbury will be the next United States Deputy Secretary of Transportation," Trump wrote. "For the entirety of my First Term, Steven served as the General Counsel of the Department of Transportation, where he helped rebuild our crumbling Infrastructure, and cut regulations that were killing jobs and our incredible Small Businesses. He previously clerked for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas."
Trump added, "Steven will work with our fantastic Secretary of Transportation Nominee, Sean Duffy, to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN."
Not all Trump's supporters were happy with the move.
David W. Reinauer, a conservative Christian who has posted pro-Trump material, said, "Oh great! Another satanic (f)reemason from the Heritage freemason society!"
"The 'conservative deep state' of the USA," he added. "Let's hope it is a SPOTLIGHT like most of the rest."
Another self-identified "MAGA" supporter, @blacklisterd, said, "We already have roads. Close it down."
A user who celebrated Trump's election win, @Cheshiret, said the President-elect was making appointments to an "unconstitutional agency."
A Trump critic, @TrumpLostBigggly, also chimed in:
"Oh hey the guy who wrote project2025s DoT portion was appointed to the position he wrote about. Almost as if everyone who said project2025 wasn't the plan was blatantly lying to you," the user wrote on Trump's post. "Now you need to ask yourself this; why were they lying to you?"
