Concern grows for woman who went missing on Scottish island days ago
The search for a missing woman has intensified after she was last seen on a remote Scottish island days ago.
Concern is growing for missing Claire Halliday who was last seen on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old was last spotted on the Isle of Mull in western Scotland which is part of the Inner Hebrides.
The last sighting of her was made at about 4pm on Tuesday in the Fionnphort area, but she has not been in touch with her family since.
Claire is described as 5ft 4inches tall and of slight build with shoulder-length brown hair.
She has a pink and turquoise eye tattoo on the back of her neck and a butterfly tattoo at the base of her spine.
The last time she was seen, Claire was dressed in a white jacket with cream coloured hood or hat and white trousers.
She has access to a Ford Transit campervan registration WN52 AZP and she is thought to be living in the vehicle.
Claire speak with an English accent, Police Scotland said as they renewed the appeal in a bid to find her.
Inspector Alan Heron said: ‘Extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace Claire and we are keen to trace her as soon as possible.
‘We have been carrying out searches in the Tiroran and Knockvologan areas on the Isle of Mull and are now able to release new images of her.
‘If anyone recognises Claire from these pictures and knows where she may be, please get in touch.
‘Even a small piece of information could be the key to helping us trace Claire.
‘I would also appeal directly to Claire herself, if you see this appeal, please let us know you are safe.’
