I thought I looked cute in my patterned sports leggings – but my doorbell footage showed my MASSIVE error
WE all know the feeling of leaving the house in a killer fit and wanting to get as many pictures as possible.
Well one woman was left baffled when she checked out the doorbell footage of the look she had been wearing all day.
TikTok user Ivanka showed her followers the outfit she was wearing on her Ring Doorbell footage[/caption]In her viral video, TikTok user Ivanka (@tidymoose) recounted the shocking discovery she made when she got home after attending an NFL game.
She explained that she was “dressed pretty fabulously” at the event so when she received a Ring Doorbell notification when she was standing on her porch, she decided to click into it to see her outfit.
The look in question consisted of a Buffalo Bills jersey and jacket, white cowboy boots, and red, white, and blue patterned leggings.
However, when Ivanka checked the footage she revealed that she “almost passed out” after seeing how her outfit showed up on the night-vision camera.
“I was standing there, half naked,” she told her audience before explaining that this wasn’t actually the case.
Though, looking at the phot you’d be forgiven for thinking so.
Ivanka’s polyester leggings didn’t show up on the camera, making her appear as though she was naked from the waist down.
She explained that the trousers “were completely see through” and made her looks as though she was “standing there completely nude.”
The TikToker included a screenshot from the video for proof, showing her followers how the details down to the “wrinkles of the knees” made the illusion all the more believable.
Ivanka added that she was thankful to have been wearing her longer jersey as when she examined the camera further, she found that it “showed everything” under her leggings.
Examining the label on her trousers, she poked fun at the situation.
“It says right here, 100% polyester, machine wash cold, tumble dry, do not bleach, do not dry clean, do not iron, and do not wear these in front of a Ring Doorbell camera at night,” she said.
Ivanka also joked that Bills quarterback Josh Allen was her hero “in more ways than one” that night.
She referred to the fact that his #17 jersey was the one that saved her dignity.
TikTok users shared their thoughts on the fashion mishap in the comments section.
Fashion editor reveals the 90s trends that should stay in the past
NINETIES and noughties trends especially have become a hit with Gen Z - most likely because they didn’t wear them the first time round. Here, Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale gives the rundown of some of the trends that have made a comeback that we wish did not.
Disc belts
“A hit with celebrities like Victoria Beckham and Blake Lively, the belt itself did nothing that a belt should actually do – it was a mere fashion statement, not a piece to actually hold anything up.
“And it seems it’s not just me who is enraged by its return, with many taking to TikTok to give their views, saying: ‘Oh no not the disc belt! I don’t think I have the energy for it a 2nd time around’ – I feel you.”
Jelly shoes
“After not being seen on shelves for decades, they’ve made a reappearance and this time they’re not just for kids.
“Coming in a range of colourful patterns, you can get them all over the high street in either flat or heeled versions.
“Not only will you look very childish wearing such shoes, but people will also need to learn that they aren’t the comfiest – blister plasters will come in handy.”
Pedal pushers
“The cropped knee-grazing trouser were all the rage in the 1990s and 2000s, but this time the model fash pack are all over them – with both Bella Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski wearing them out recently.
“The original IT girls, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot helped make the trousers – also called Capri pants – look effortlessly cool and glam.
“Somehow this time round they don’t seem to be having that same effect.”
“Me thinking back to all the night DoorDash deliveries i did in my yoga pants, now I’m questioning the five-star ratings,” wrote one viewer.
“Uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh, I delivered for Amazon for a year and wore leggings religiously for mobility, nooooooooooooo,” said another follower.
“I delivered mail for eight years, wearing yoga pants at least 50% of the time, please,” commented a third person.
“I’m now wondering how many houses I’ve accidentally flashed running past at night in my leggings,” wrote another TikTok user.
“OMG! What are we supposed to do! Those cameras are everywhere!” said one viewer.
