Archie Manning shared a fun fact about Riley Leonard and Will Howard in the most dad way possible
With Ohio State’s 28-24 win over Texas in the College Football Playoff semifinal game at the Cotton Bowl on Friday night, the national championship game is officially set. The Buckeyes will face Notre Dame — which beat Penn State on Thursday — for the title in Atlanta on January 20.
The national championship matchup is a fun one with two teams with interesting history between these two teams. It apparently led Archie Manning to share a fun fact with son Eli Manning about Ohio State quarterback Will Howard and Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard. And he did it in the most dad way possible, as Eli hilariously noted.
According to Archie, Howard and Leonard were roommates at the Manning Passing Academy last summer, adding another roommate narrative to the college football postseason (after Ohio State’s Jack Sawyer sealed his team’s win with a play against his former roommate, Quinn Ewers).
And then, as if Eli was unaware of who was sharing this information, Archie signed his text, like so many people’s parents do. Ya know, just in case.
Thank goodness my Dad writes his name after he sends me a text. -Eli pic.twitter.com/KS0GHwFCE7

On the surface, the Manning family isn’t the most relatable family with standout NFL and college quarterbacks and a few Super Bowl rings. But a text from a parent, signed by said parent, is beyond relatable.
