NBC Slammed for Interviewing Dennis Quaid as He Tried to Evacuate Amid L.A. Fires
NBC is facing some major backlash over their interview with Dennis Quaid.
On Friday night (January 10), the 70-year-old The Substance actor was in the middle of frantically packing up his car outside of his home in Brentwood, Calif. when a reporter for NBC 4 Los Angeles kept going up to him and asking questions about the fire.
Dennis appeared polite and spoke with the reporter, even getting emotional at one point, despite hurriedly trying to evacuate.
After the segment, many took to X, formerly Twitter, to call out NBC for disrupting Dennis as he tried to get his family to safety.

Another wrote, “Dennis Quaid’s wildfire evacuation turns cringe: Overeager reporter & cameraman stalk actor while he frantically packs, making awkward jokes & refusing to give personal space. Pro move: Quaid stays cool, rescues daughter’s stuff.”
“Not NBC4 stopping the 21,000-acre Palisades Fire emergency newscast dead for 15min to interrupt and interview Dennis Quaid as he packs his car, *and* Dennis Quaid’s dog (Peaches?!?), while I’m waiting to see if I need to abandon my house in Sherman Oaks ????” one person wrote.
“LA’s NBC station is reporting live from Dennis Quaid’s house, where a reporter is shoving a mic in his face & making awkward convo as he packs his car to evacuate,” someone else wrote. “The reporter: ‘Did you try to use the Quaid Charm on any of the first responders?’ Can…can we not?”
Even more stars are evacuating amid the fires. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragedy.
