Innocent bystander shot by teen gunman in Brooklyn: NYPD
CANARSIE, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A 57-year-old woman was shot while walking through a residential neighborhood in Brooklyn on Friday evening.
The woman was walking along East 81 Street just before 6 p.m. when she passed by a group of teenagers arguing amongst each other, police said.
That’s when shots rang out and a bullet hit the woman in her right thigh, according to authorities.
The 57-year-old was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Police say they’re continuing to investigate the incident.
