Marcos Jr.’s alleged half-sister banned from drinking on planes after mid-air brawl
MANILA, Philippines – Analisa Josefa Corr, a woman who claims to be the daughter of the late dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos, has been banned from consuming alcohol aboard flights and in Australian airports after a reported brawl on a Jetstar flight, reports say.
Several international media outlets such as the Associated Press, the BBC, and the Washington Post reported on Friday, January 10, that Corr and her husband, James Alexander Corr, appeared before a Sydney court on charges of causing a drunken brawl on a flight.
After drinking alcohol the couple had brought onto their December 29 flight to Sydney, Analisa allegedly assaulted a fellow passenger outside the plane’s restroom. Citing Australian police, the BBC reported that she was accused of “grabbing and shaking another passenger while exiting the aircraft toilet.”
After the plane landed, the couple was taken to a police station and charged with not complying with safety instructions and assault. They pled not guilty to all charges during an earlier court appearance.
The AP report said Deputy Chief Magistrate Michael Antrum agreed to return their passports on the condition that they refrain from drinking on an aircraft or in Australian international or domestic airport departure halls.
The couple also agreed to deposit 20,000 Australian dollars to the court, which will be forfeited if they breached bail conditions.
Corr, 53, claims to be the daughter of the late dictator Marcos and the half-sister of incumbent President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Her mother is Australian model Evelin Hegyesi, who allegedly had an affair with the dictator in the 1970s. Marcos was married to the current president’s mother, Imelda.
Marcos Jr. earlier said reports of Corr being his half-sister were mere rumors.
Bikini model Hegyesi was allegedly one of the recipients of funds from the Marcos couple’s illegal Swiss foundations. According to a Philippine Star report, Hegyesi set up Austraphil Pty Ltd., which allegedly received deposits from a Marcos front foundation in Zurich. The transfers began when Hegyesi was pregnant with Analisa.
Analisa’s second name, Josefa, is also the name of Marcos’ mother.
