I was on a 90s TV classic – now I’m 65 & in better shape than ever… my bikini body has men asking to be my ‘pool boy’
SHE was a regular fixture on morning television for much of the 90s.
And while her role as Aunt Zelda scored her millions of fans – particularly of the young, male variety – Beth Broderick has proved she’s still got the magic touch by showing off her bikini body aged 65.
The 65-year-old is most famous for playing Aunt Zelda in 90s TV show Sabrina the Teenage Witch[/caption] She starred alongside Caroline Rhea as aunts who took care of their magical niece[/caption] And Melissa Joan Hart starred as the main character in the beloved series[/caption]Beth, who played Zelda Spellman in Sabrina the Teenage Witch in seasons 1 to 6 of the hit 90s show, took to her Instagram page to share a picture of herself modelling a white two-piece.
“When you are 65 and your model agents ask if you can do swim,” she captioned the picture.
“Um, one piece or two?”
The image showed her wearing a coloured shirt over the top of the bikini, which she had paired with some brown heels.
She stood with one hand casually resting on the wall, while displaying her enviably flat stomach and killer legs.
And the comments section was almost immediately filled with people praising Beth for her incredible appearance, with one writing: “Wait I literally saw this and thought wow she’s like 38!”
“Stop it right now! My phone just exploded!” another added.
“God, please let me look this good at 65,” a third commented.
“Thank you for the inspiration!”
“I volunteer to be your pool boy,” someone else cheekily wrote.
“You go girl! 65 is nothing. You’ve barely changed since the Sabrina days!” another praised.
“Aunt Zelda breaking the internet,” someone else wrote.
As another praised: “You are looking fabulous.
“People half your age couldn’t pull it off as classy as you do Beth. Just gorgeous!”
Someone else called her a “smoke show”, while another wrote: “As far as hot senior citizens go, you can definitely give Helen Mirren competition!”
“My Dad used to watch Sabrina with me just so he could watch Aunt Zelda,” someone else laughed.
All the 90s trends that are making a comeback
WE might be in 2024, but fashion fans are looking to the past when it comes to new styles. So what trends from the 90s are making a comeback these days?
Claw clips
These hair accessories were a huge trend back in the 90s, but are now most popular among those trying out the “clean girl” aesthetic. Designers such as Prada have released their own versions, while there are thousands of colours and styles to choose from on the high street.
Platform flip flops
Again a popular choice among fashionistas in the 90s, these heels have made a comeback with designers such as Balenciaga trying their luck with their own styles.
Cargo pants
Once worn by the stars of All Saints, cargo pants became a popular trend for teens in the 90s. But they’ve now had a fashion overhaul, with stars such as Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber all putting their own spin on the trend.
Jeans and a nice top
It was the phrase that defined fashion for a decade, and now famous faces such as Sofia Richie are sporting the reinvented trend – pairing their own denims with a more sophisticated top. But are you willing to dig your jeans and nice tops out of the wardrobe for a second time?
And others even referenced the beloved magic TV show as they commented on Beth’s bikini snap.
“No way, witches don’t age! Beautiful Aunt Zelda!” one wrote.
“Whatever spell you’re using cast a male version of it my way,” another added.
“Witchcraft! You can’t look like that! You look just like you did in 1996!” a third insisted.
“Are you using any spell?” someone else asked, pleading with her to “teach us”.
While she’s most famous for starring in Sabrina, Beth has also had roles in numerous TV shows and films, including recent Christmas TV movies Holiday Mismatch and The Merry Gentlemen.
