But things took an hilarious turn when host Matt was showing Emilia how to cook a risotto.
It all started as the presenter ran through his ingredients and mentioned that the dish would have cream in it.
Already sensing this would annoy celebrity chef Gennaro, with a smile on his face Matt held up the dairy to show him.
This was too much for the Italian, who DID NOT agree cream should ever be used in risotto.
He could be heard exclaiming: “Mamma mia! Stop there!
“Why would you want to put cream inside your risotto?
“Tell me? Why?”
Gennaro then walked over to the cooking isle and snatched the cream away leaving Matt and Emilia in stitches.
As he confiscated the ingredient, he shook his head and said: “I am sorry!”
Matt could then be heard saying: “Yeah, I’m gonna have to come get that in a minute!”
Not stopping there, Gennaro said: “It is tasteless with risotto!”
Before adding: “With an apple tart yes!”
Gennaro then put his head in his hands and exclaimed: “Mamma mia!”

Another added: “Love that he took the cream away!”
This fan chucked: “Gennaro is too funny!
Previously opening up about the best and worst parts about cooking on a TV show, Matt told Delicious Magazine: “It took a bit of getting used to cooking and talking to camera and reading an autocue with someone directing you through an earpiece.
“But once you get the hang of it, it can be as exciting as working in a kitchen.”
Speaking about why people love cookery shows so much, the popular presenter said: “Good chefs can be very charismatic and enthusiastic about their profession.
“I think people like to see a bit of passion and the excitement of a busy kitchen on their screens and whether they’re actually going to cook the dishes or not, people do get very excited about good food.”
