Prince Louis’ Uncanny Resemblance to a Royal Family Member Proves Those Regal Genes Are Strong
Last month, a royal reporter hypothesized that Prince Louis might have inherited his infamous and beloved cheekiness from an unexpected relative. Perhaps, they said, he is following in the footsteps of Prince William’s 17-year-old cousin Earl James of Wessex (AKA Prince Louis’ cousin once removed). After all, when the teen was around Prince Louis’ age, he was also known for being silly on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
Now, Hello! has dug through the archives and is finding that while Prince Louis might act like the Earl, he looks a whole lot like another royal relative. The 6-year-old Prince has an uncanny resemblance to Prince Edward — King Charles III’s brother and James’ father.
It seems the royal family’s genes are exceptionally strong if Prince Louis looks so much like a young version of his great-uncle and acts so much like his cousin.
In the below photo from May 1968, when Prince Edward was just 4 years old, he looks so much like Prince Louis did in the breathtaking photo of him and his sister entering Westminster Abbey ahead of their grandfather’s historic coronation. Prince Louis was just 5 years old at the time and had the same wide eyes and serious yet inquisitive look on his face. Not convinced? See more photos of the royal look-a-likes HERE.
In recent years, people have also noticed which royals Princess Charlotte takes after. The 9-year-old looks like a mix of her late great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II (seen HERE) and her late grandma Princess Diana (seen HERE). Funnily enough, Princess Charlotte takes after their interests too. The young Princess also has a love of horses like the late monarch and a love of dance like “the People’s Princess.”
As for the eldest Wales child? There are a whole lot of photos showing that Prince George looks a whole lot like his dad Prince William. We meant it when we said the regal genes run deep!
